Quetico's abundant waterways, rich cultural history, wild undeveloped landscape and non-mechanized travel, all contribute to its reputation as an area of unparalleled wilderness canoeing opportunity.

About Quetico Park

Quetico Park is protected, wilderness, canoe country located west of Lake Superior and stretches 40 miles north and 60 miles east-west from the boundary waters of the Canada-US border. Quetico's myriad of lakes creates unlimited choice of canoe trip routes for canoeists seeking solitude and wilderness surroundings.

Lakes, rivers, waterfalls, boreal forests, wildlife, fish and fishing opportunities, Indian rock paintings on the granite cliffs all combine to create the magnificent setting for this wilderness canoe area.

In Winter, the north side of the park has become a nordic skiing destination as several trails run through unbroken woodlands and open up the chains of frozen lakes.
